課程概述

Content:
Classroom Activities: To achieve the goal, the class is wholly conducted in English and organized through language activities which cover a wide range of academic and personal issues so that you can engage fully in an English learning environment. Our classroom activities include pair work, group discussion, oral presentation, or essay writing following the reading of an article, listening to a lecture, or watching a video.
Pre-class Activities: Classroom activities rely heavily on your reading and research on the Internet. To prepare for our class, you are required to read the articles selected from news media and posted on our Ceiba website. You must also do related tasks designed to help you understand the articles and be informed about the topics.

課程目標
Objective: This is an integrated English course with the objective to help students improve their four skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking at a college level. It is designed with two basic premises: 1) that a second language is to be acquired through using it, and 2) that the four skills should be practiced in contextualized activities that have meaning and purpose to the learners.
